HOW DO I GET A COMPUTER?Students who attend school in the Washington Unified School District can speak with their schools Computers 4 Kids representative about getting a referral form and setting up an appointment with Computers 4 Kids.
Students who are enrolled in classes in the Los Rios Community College District can speak with their RISE or EOPS representative about getting a Computers 4 Kids referral form. Computers 4 Kids is a nonprofit in West Sacramento that offers free and low-cost options for qualifying students through a collaboration with United Way. They can be contacted at (916) 572-1152. Adults and their families can receive computer equipment through a collaboration between United Way Partners and Computers 4 Kids. Our Top Priorities:
- Distribute FREE desktop computers to low-income students in the Washington Unified School District
- Provide free and LOW-COST desktop and laptop computers to our low-income students in the Los Rios Community College District
- Distribute computers through United Way to clients throughout the Sacramento region
- Help local High School and College students build their computer skills with our Technical Internship program

All Computers We Distribute Include:
When receiving a computer, the client is required to attend a 30 to 60-minute orientation held in our office or with a partner. This will ensure that the client receives proper instruction on how to use their new computer and give them an opportunity to ask questions. |
